Inmos B004 Transputer PC Card

When we received this card it was the first time we had ever seen a Transputer in the flesh. The processor shown in the photos was a replacement for the original (very preliminary), T414x processor that arrived with the board. The IMST414B 32 bit processor shown ran at a screaming 15 MHz. You can probably tell by looking at the board that Inmos was a noted manufacturer of high speed memory chips! Prior to the arrival of this card we scrambled to write a rudimentary assembler and linker so that we could create test programs that would run on it. Of course, at the time OCCAM was the only development tool available, and Inmos hadn't yet publicly documented names for the underlying instruction set. Ah, the good old days!
