Alta SuperLink/XL Transputer PC Card

Alta Technology was a spin-off of Computer System Architects, and they made some of the nicest Transputer hardware we used. The SuperLink/XL board used TRAM modules like the Inmos B008 (see here), but featured a 20 MHz IMST225 Transputer to handle external interfacing and a beefed-up host interface design. It supported 10 TRAM's directly (again like the B008), but could also support TRAM "double" modules which allowed 20 Transputers (plus the interface processor), to be crammed into a single PC slot if a specific application could entirely fit in the internal Transputer RAM space. This particular XL board was fitted with two 25 MHz IMST805 TRAM modules. Click on any of the photos to enlarge them...

And, if you could get by with the Transputer internal ram only, you could cram two processors in a single module slot!
